📚 Weekly Learning Themes
🩺 First Aid & DIY Home Skills (5/29 to 6/5)
During these two weeks, students will develop essential life skills through hands-on learning in First Aid and DIY home projects. In the first week, they will learn how to respond to common situations such as cuts, bruises, and emergencies, while building awareness of health, safety, and personal care. We will also have a special visit from a nurse, who will share real-world knowledge and guide students through important first aid practices. In the second week, students will be introduced to basic tools and practical home skills, such as using a screwdriver, hammering safely, changing light bulbs, and completing simple building projects. Through these activities, students gain confidence, independence, and the ability to solve real-life problems in a safe and supportive environment.
💼 Business & Entrepreneurship (6/8 to 6/19)
During these two weeks, students will work collaboratively to create their own small business from start to finish. They will brainstorm ideas, design and build or prepare a product, and develop a brand that includes a name, logo, and marketing materials. Students will also create a simple website to showcase their business and practice communication skills by presenting and promoting their product. The project culminates in a Market Day, where students sell their products and apply everything they have learned in a real-world, hands-on experience.
🤖 AI & Technology (6/22 to 7/3)
During this week, students will explore the world of artificial intelligence through three key areas: creating, understanding, and building with AI. They will use age-appropriate tools to create original content such as images and stories, explore how AI works through interactive games and experiments, and apply basic coding concepts to build simple projects. Through hands-on activities, students develop creativity, curiosity, and problem-solving skills while gaining a foundational understanding of how AI is shaping the world around them.
🌏 Chinese Culture & Art (7/6 to 7/17)
During this two-week program, students will explore the richness of Chinese culture through art, storytelling, and hands-on experiences. In the first week, students are introduced to traditional Chinese arts and aesthetics, including ink painting, calligraphy, mask design, paper cutting, blue-and-white porcelain, and cultural practices such as tea, flower appreciation, and basic etiquette. In the second week, students dive into stories and cultural traditions by designing characters inspired by Sun Wukong, experiencing basic kung fu movements, creating artwork based on classical poetry, and exploring themes from the 24 solar terms. The program concludes with a creative performance where students bring their learning to life through a final showcase.
🎤🇪🇸 Communication & Spanish (7/20 to 7/31)
During this week, students will develop confidence in communication while being introduced to the Spanish language through fun and interactive activities. They will practice speaking in front of others, storytelling, and expressing their ideas clearly, while also learning basic Spanish vocabulary and everyday phrases such as greetings, numbers, and simple conversations. Through games, songs, presentations, and group activities, students build both public speaking skills and language confidence in a supportive and engaging environment. This integrated approach encourages self-expression, cultural awareness, and strong communication skills that students can use in everyday life.
